Micronit (www.micronit.com) was founded in 1999 as a spin-off of the University of Twente (The Netherlands) and currently employs around 50 enthusiastic and dedicated persons. Micronit focusses on the total development process of microfluidic devices, from design to high-volume manufacturing. The products are manufactured in a high-tech cleanroom facility located on the University campus. Micronit has extensive know-how and intellectual property in the field of micromachining in combination with microfluidics.
Micronit is a leading company in the field of microfluidics with close ties to both industry and academia. The persons involved in the project have worked and still work on a range of projects funded by the European Union as well as projects funded on a national or regional level.
